The Agreement, concluded between the International Fund for Agriculture Development (IFAD) and Peru and entered into force on 16 January 2012, regulates the Headquarters of the IFAD’s office in Peru.
The Agreement recognizes the legal personality of IFAD and confers on its agents and officials immunity from legal process with respect to the acts performed in their official capacity. The Director of the IFAD has the duty to waive the immunity of officials and staff members when such immunity impede the course of justice and its waiver does not prejudice the interests of the organization.
