The Agreement, concluded between the United Nations and Somalia, regulates the status of the United Nations Assistance Mission in Somalia (UNSOM).
UNSOM, as a subsdiary organ of the United Nations, shall enjoy the privileges and immunities established under the Convention on Privileges and Immunities of the United Nations.
The Special Rapresentative, the Deuputy Special Rapresentative of the Secretary General, the Chief of Staff and the Director of Mission shall enjoy the status, privileges and immunities established under Section 19 and 27 of the Convention on Privileges and Immunities of the United Nations.
Officials, United Nations volunteers, United Nations Civilian police advisors and United Nations military advisers and civilian personnel shall enjoy the immunities set out in Article V and VII of the Convention.
