The Convention relating to Co-Operation for the Safety of Air Navigation of 13 December 1960, as amended by the Amending Protocol of 12 February 1981, establishes the European Organization for the Safety of Air Navigation (EUROCONTROL), regulating the legal status of the organization and its agents.
The Director General of the Agency shall enjoy immunity from jurisdiction in respect of acts, including words spoken and written, done by him in the exercise of his functions; this immunity shall not apply in the case of a motor traffic offense or in the case of damage caused by a motor vehicle belonging to or driven by him (Article 22).
